KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – Playing in its first contest since May 2021, the Elmira College women's lacrosse program returned to the field on Tuesday as the Soaring Eagles traveled to face the Keuka College Wolves. Keuka would come away with a 16-0 win in the non-conference matchup.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Elmira recorded a pair of shots on goal in the first quarter of action as junior Kelsey Stewart recorded a shot with 10:21 remaining, which would be stopped by Keuka goalkeeper Lauren Vitello.
- Sophomore Caitlin Ehlenfield fired a shot on frame with 5:01 remaining in the quarter, which Vitello would stop.
- Elmira goalkeeper Camila Hidalgo registered seven saves in the opening quarter for the Soaring Eagles, as the Wolves recorded 22 shots.
- Senior Kayla Neer recorded a pair of shots on goal in the second quarter for Elmira, while Ehlenfield had a free position shot denied in the third quarter by Vitello with 2:35 remaining.
- Ehlenfield would notch two more shots on goal in the fourth quarter for the Soaring Eagles, including a free position shot with 12:06 remaining. Stewart also had a free position shot for the Purple & Gold in the fourth quarter that would miss high.
- Stewart paced Elmira with five ground balls, five caused turnovers, and six draw controls. Freshman Mallory Schultz finished with five ground balls and three caused turnovers for EC, while junior Brianna O'Drain added three ground balls and three caused turnovers.
- Despite suffering the loss for the Soaring Eagles, Hidalgo registered 12 saves in her first collegiate game.
