GREENWOOD, IN – The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
Elmira's
Amarionah Dixon, Kelsey Stewart, Mallory Welty, and Taylor Jung were honored as members of the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Teams for the Purple & Gold. This is the first CSC All-Academic recognition for Dixon, Stewart, Welty, and Jung.
Dixon, a native of Elmira, appeared in 25 games in her first season with the Soaring Eagles. Dixon averaged 7.1 points per game and 6.6 rebounds per game for the Purple & Gold. She recorded several season-high performances in a win at home against Utica on February 14, as she finished with 17 points, three assists, three blocks, and seven made buckets through 27 minutes of action.
Stewart, a native of Livonia, New York, started in 25 of Elmira's 26 games this season and averaged a career-high 18.2 minutes per game. Stewart finished fourth on the team with 32 assists and 20 steals. The 32 assists were a career-high for Stewart, while she matched her career-best in steals.
Welty, a native of Portville, New York, appeared in 26 games with 12 starts for the Soaring Eagles. Welty recorded a career-high 15 points in a contest at home against SUNY Brockport on January 17. She also added a career-high five three-pointers in the contest for the Purple & Gold. Welty finished the season second on the team with 27 made three-pointers.
Jung, a native of Rochester, New York, started each of Elmira's 26 games in 2024-25 and finished with a career-best 8.2 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game. Jung recorded a career-high 23 points on the road against Alfred State to go along with an 8-for-14 shooting performance from the field. She also pulled down a career-best 17 rebounds at home against Marywood on December 4.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All- America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
