MEADVILLE, PA – The Elmira College Soaring Eagles opened their 2025 season with a 24-3 setback at the hands of the Gators from Allegheny College on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Gators jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter before taking an 18-0 advantage to the locker room at the break.
Brody Haynes '26 found the back of the net for Elmira while the Purple & Gold were up a man on the field. Haynes' goal is the first in program history since Sam Crary '23 scored in the fourth quarter of Elmira's 13-6 win over Medaille University, back on April 28, 2021.
Corbin Melie '28 finished with a pair of goals for the Soaring Eagles in the program's first game since 2021. The first-year attacker also collected six ground balls and caused a turnover in the contest while pacing his team with three shots on goal.
Isaac Craft '26 finished with 19 saves in net for the Soaring Eagles in the losing effort.
JP Rakis racked up 11 assists, a game-high, and finished with 13 points from adding two goals. Alex Crespo paced the Gators with six goals.

Elmira will turn its attention to Wednesday night, when they visit Pitt Bradford. Opening faceoff is slated for 7:00 PM in Bradford.
