ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Empire 8 Conference announced its weekly award winners on Monday, and Paten Buckwalter '28 took home his fifth Rookie of the Week honor. Buckwalter and Ryan Murphy (Nazareth) were named Co-Rookies of the Week. 

Buckwalter tallied eight kills in three sets against the Engineers of Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His .615 hitting percentage was the second highest mark of his career, only behind Jan. 25's .636 mark in a win over King's College.

The Soaring Eagles are on the road to wrap up their regular season schedule this week. First, they will take on the Golden Flyers of Nazareth University on Wednesday at 6: 00 P.M. before visiting Hobart on Saturday to end the year.
