ELMIRA, NY – Savannah Terry '21 announced her coaching staff for this spring's club flag football season. Steve Terry will oversee the defense as the defensive coordinator, while Ryan McDonough '19 will assist Conor Doherty, who will serve as the offensive coordinator. Terry will remain in her role as head coach. Billy McCrae will serve as Director of Operations.

Steve Terry has coached multiple sports at multiple levels, ranging from youth to high school, over the last 30 years. Organizations and schools Terry has coached at include the Owego Junior Football League, Owego Apalachin Little League, Owego Apalachin Teener League, Eyota Softball Travel, Owego Apalachin Middle School, Owego Apalachin High School, and Waverly High School. Steve's football coaching experience spans seven years, mainly focusing on defensive and offensive lines.

McDonough brings two years of flag football playing experience and a championship mentality, having won back-to-back flag football league titles in high school. The current head coach of men's volleyball, McDonough, has his team out the gates with a 14-3 record, including a program-record 12 consecutive wins to start the season.

Doherty, who coached the quarterbacks for one year at La Salle College High School, played quarterback during his time with the Explorers. A native of Glenside, PA, Doherty played both ways with the Explorers, occasionally seeing time on the defensive side of the ball.

McCrae will help with player personnel and roster management as the team begins to play. He will also contribute his expertise in recruiting.
