  • The Soaring Eagles answered with the tying run in the bottom of the second inning, as Brianna Ramstine walked with the bases loaded to score Erica Bates from third.
  • A pair of runs in the third inning would give the Saxons the lead for good. A fielding error allowed the go-ahead run to score, while a sacrifice fly pushed the lead to 3-1 for Alfred.
  • The Saxons erupted for five runs in the fourth inning to extend their lead to 8-1 against the Soaring Eagles. Alfred closed the scoring with two runs in the seventh inning to make it 10-1.
  • Hannah Colwill, Katie Distefano, and Shelby Dawe each tallied hits in the game for the Soaring Eagles.
  • The Saxons plated four runs in the second inning to take an early lead in game two against Elmira.
  • Elmira worked out of a bases-loaded jam in the third inning with a pop-up and a flyout to right field to keep the game 4-0.
  • Alfred increased its lead to 6-0 with a pair of runs in the fourth inning thanks to a home run from Molly Whitmyer.
