ELMIRA, N.Y. – As she begins her third season as head coach of the Elmira College Women's Volleyball team, Savannah Terry '21 has revealed the 2025 Soaring Eagles schedule. This year's schedule features 13 home matches, along with a quad match and two tri-matches held inside Speidel Gymnasium.
Elmira begins its 2025 campaign at home with a quad match on Friday, August 29, against Moravian University. The Soaring Eagles will then host Bard College and Oswego State on Saturday, August 30. It will be the first-ever encounter between Elmira and Moravian, while the Soaring Eagles will face Bard for the first time since 2017.
The Soaring Eagles travel to Massachusetts for three matches. Elmira will face Dean College in a neutral-site game on September 5 at Smith College. The next day, Elmira heads to Curry College to play against the Colonels and the Trailblazers of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts on September 6. The Purple & Gold will compete against Dean and Curry for the first time in program history, while the matchup against the Trailblazers will be the fourth overall and the first since 2015.
A single road match at Penn College on September 10 precedes the Purple & Gold hosting four consecutive contests at Speidel Gym, beginning with a tri-match on September 13 against Pitt-Bradford and Wilkes University. Elmira also hosts Keystone College on September 16 and Hilbert College on September 20.
Elmira hits the road for four matches, starting against Alfred State College on September 24. The Purple & Gold then head to SUNY Delhi for a tri-match with the Broncos and Marywood University on September 27. Empire 8 play begins for the Soaring Eagles with an away game against Alfred University on October 3.
The final tri-match of the season for the Soaring Eagles will feature Pitt-Bradford and Houghton University visiting Elmira on October 4. Elmira will play at SUNY Geneseo on October 10, then return home to face SUNY Brockport on October 11 and Nazareth University on October 17.
The Soaring Eagles will travel to St. John Fisher on October 18 before heading to Keuka College on October 21. Their final two home games of the season are against Russell Sage College on October 24 and Hartwick College on October 25.
The final regular-season road matches come against SUNY Poly on October 31 and Utica University on November 1.
The 2025 Empire 8 Tournament is scheduled for November 11-15 and will include three rounds. The championship game is set for Saturday, November 15, at the highest seed.
