BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Elmira College field hockey program traveled to Brockport on Saturday to open its 2025 Empire 8 schedule, as the Soaring Eagles dropped a 4-0 decision against the Golden Eagles.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Madison Fleming '27 recorded a shot on goal for the Soaring Eagles just over 10 minutes into the contest following a penalty corner, which was taken by Caitlin Ehlenfield '27.
- Brockport broke the scoreless draw late in the first quarter with goals at the 12:38 mark and another at the 14:00 mark to take a 2-0 advantage into the second quarter.
- Elmira goalkeeper Angelina Caban '26 recorded four saves in the second quarter and allowed just one goal at the 26:16 mark.
- Caban weathered the storm late in the fourth quarter to keep the game at 4-0 for Elmira, as she made five saves in the span of two minutes. She finished the contest with 11 saves total for the Soaring Eagles.
