UTICA, N.Y. – The Elmira College men's soccer program played to its fourth draw of the season, and second in Empire 8 Conference action on Saturday, as the Soaring Eagles and Utica University Pioneers finished in a 3-3 deadlock.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Pietro Gallina '26 opened the scoring in the 19th minute with his fourth goal of the season to put the Soaring Eagles ahead of the Pioneers, 1-0.
- Utica answered with the equalizer in the 37th minute as Justin Clarke beat Elmira goalkeeper Juan Carlos Cruz Gandia '27.
- Henry Schweitzer gave the Pioneers a 2-1 lead in the 53rd minute, before Ole Esselmann '28 knotted the score in the 54th minute.
- A pair of penalty kicks ultimately decided the game late in the second half, as Gallina netted his second goal of the day in the 77th minute to make it 3-2. Utica converted on its own penalty kick in the 88th minute to pull even with Elmira, 3-3.
- Cruz Gandia finished the contest with six saves for the Soaring Eagles, as Utica held a 9-6 advantage in shots on goal. The Pioneers also had a 10-5 advantage in corner kicks.
