OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Elmira College field hockey program dropped a close 2-1 decision on Wednesday against the Oswego State Lakers as
Caitlin Ehlenfield '27 notched her first goal of the season for the Soaring Eagles.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Oswego opened the scoring at the 4:55 mark of the first quarter as Carly King found the back of the cage to make it 1-0.
- Elmira battled back to even the score 1-1 at the 19:03 mark of the contest as Caitlin Ehlenfield '27 took a feed from Nicole Luther '28 to beat the Oswego goalkeeper.
- The Lakers gained a 2-1 advantage at the 33:44 mark as Ellie Kazel scored her first of the contest.
- Elmira finished the contest with a 15-9 advantage in shots to go along with an 8-5 edge in shots on goal. Oswego held a 10-6 edge in penalty corners, including a 7-0 edge in the first half.
- Angelina Caban '26 finished the contest with three saves between the pipes for the Soaring Eagles.
- Ehlenfield paced Elmira with four shots on goal, while Talia Nash '28 added a pair of shots on target.
