New Haven, C.T. – The Elmira College Soaring Eagles men's ice hockey team traveled to New Haven, Connecticut for a UCHC conference matchup with the Falcons of Albertus Magnus College. A strong second period by Albertus Magnus was too much for Elmira to overcome, seeing EC drop the contest 5-1.

In the first period of play the Falcons outshot the Soaring Eagles 15-11.
Cameron Manley was tested early in goal for the Soaring Eagles, making five saves in the first few minutes of the game. Elmira got some early shots on net from
Lucas Stevenson and Erik Bertelsen but were unable to find the back of the net. The Falcons were first on the board with 38 seconds remaining in the first period, holding their advantage at the conclusion of the first period.
The second period started with a strong push from both sides. Elmira put eight shots on net in a three-minute span, including shots by Stevenson and
Cam Lowe, but were unable to cut the deficit. The Falcons scored a pair of goals in two minutes to open up the game and take a 3-0 lead halfway through. The Soaring Eagles hit the board a few minutes later with a goal from
Nicholas Bennett, assisted by
Tyler Schwindt and
Jake Terra. The Falcons answered right back with two more goals of their own in the final three minutes of the period. Albertus Magnus held a 5-1 advantage after the second.
Elmira put shots on goal throughout the third period, as they out shot the Falcons 11-5 in the third. Both goalies were up to the challenge between the pipes as no goals were scored in the final period of play. Elmira had 36 shots during the game but only one goal to show as the Falcons came out on top, 5-1.
