KEUKA PARK, N.Y. - The Elmira College women's basketball team traveled to Keuka College for a mid-week Empire 8 duel. The Soaring Eagles strong offensive outburst in the second period ultimately sealed the 68-49 victory over the Wolves.

Lauren Miller followed suit with a shot from downtown to propel the Soaring Eagles ahead. A ten-point run for the Wolves saw them soar past Elmira and hold a 22-12 edge heading into the first break. With their work cut out for them, Miller opened the offense with back-to-back threes along with
Mia Welty drained a three on a fastbreak. Miller and
Mia Welty continued to splash threes from beyond the arc until the contest was tied. A foul from the Wolves gave EC the edge on a free throw from
Emma Ryan.
Amarionah Dixon grabbed a pair of offensive boards and dropped two jumpers to send EC into the half with a 35-31 lead.
Back-to-back three-point shots from Mosch opened the second half of play in favor of the Soaring Eagles. Another foul from the Wolves sent
Aynsley Belcher to the line, seeing her add one to EC's advantage. Keuka continued to play aggressive defense, sending numerous Soaring Eagles to the line to continue tacking onto their lead. Elmira closed the third quarter with a 15-point edge over the Wolves (54-39). Keuka looked to chip at the deficit, recording a couple of shots in the paint until another three from Mosch and
Mia Welty crushed the Wolves chance to respond. A handful of free throws added to Elmira's scoring, seeing them walk away with a strong 68-49 victory over Keuka.
LEADERS
Miller led offensively for Elmira tallying 16 points with three rebounds, one steal, and one block.
Mia Welty followed with 12 points of her own while Mosch recorded 11. Dixon led defensively with 12 rebounds and two blocks followed by Mosch with 11 rebounds and one block.
