ELMIRA, N.Y. - Elmira College women's ice hockey forward Alayna Toole has been named the UCHC and Empire 8 Co-Player of the Week, announced by the conference offices on Monday.

Toole paved the way offensively for the Soaring Eagles in their first game against Chatham on Friday evening. Toole recorded four of Elmira's six goals on her own, including three shorthanded goals. This saw her tie the NCAA single game shorthand goal record with three. She was also 28-40 in face-offs in Elmira's three wins this past week.

So far this season, Toole has tallied nine goals and five assists for a total of 14 points. She has netted one power-play goal and three game-winning goals. Toole has also marked five blocks on the season.
