ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Elmira College women's lacrosse team hosted the Panthers of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford for a Wednesday afternoon matchup at Campus Field. The Soaring Eagles fought hard, but ultimately dropped the matchup against Pitt-Bradford, 15-1.

The Panthers opened the scoring, netting their first goal five minutes into the contest. Pitt-Bradford added a second goal three minutes later, extending the advantage to 2-0. The Panthers netted their third goal with two minutes remaining in the first period. The score held at 3-0 heading into the second period.
Five and a half minutes into the second period the Panthers added another score to make it 4-0. The Panthers continued to attack, putting the ball in the back of the net for the fifth time a few minutes later. Pitt-Bradford scored another six goals in the second period, taking an 11-0 lead into halftime. The Panthers outshot the Soaring Eagles 22-2 in the first half.
The Panthers added another goal a few minutes into the third period.
Kelsey Stewart got the Soaring Eagles on the board, with her eleventh goal of the season, making the shot from a free position attempt. The third ended with one goal for each side, the shots being 11-5 Pitt-Brad, and the score entering the fourth was 12-1. The Panthers scored three more goals in the final period to secure the victory, 15-1.
