ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Elmira College women's lacrosse team hosted the Cougars of Kean University in an afternoon contest, where Kean rolled past the Soaring Eagles, 18–1.

The Cougars opened the afternoon's scoring just over three minutes in and quickly built on it, adding three more goals in rapid succession. Sandra Angell nearly put the Soaring Eagles on the board, but her shot missed just wide. Three more Kean goals in the final three minutes of the quarter gave them a 7–0 lead after the first.
Kean picked up where it left off to start the second quarter, scoring just over two minutes in. Abby Belcher nearly broke through for EC, forcing a strong save from the Kean goaltender before the Cougars added three more to take an 11–0 advantage into halftime.
Just over a minute into the third quarter, Kean struck again. Kelsey Stewart got the Soaring Eagles on the board with her 12th goal of the season. Two more goals over the final six minutes gave Kean a 14–1 lead heading into the final frame.
Two more goals in the first five minutes of the fourth extended Kean's lead to 15. With just under five minutes remaining, the Cougars added another.
