Keuka Park, N.Y. – The Elmira College women's soccer team rallied from an early deficit to earn a 2-1 victory over Keuka College Saturday afternoon for their second consecutive Empire 8 victory.

Amy Ferrier and
Brooke Wilcox each recorded one goal apiece.
Anna Chunco recorded an assist, while
Sarah Cantrell made one save in goal to earn the victory. Wilcox led with four shots and two on goal, while
Kylie Drake recorded two shots.
PLAY-BY-PLAY
Elmira created several scoring opportunities early in the contest, as Krawczyk and Cruz each put shots on target during the opening 20 minutes. Wilcox added a shot of her own just before the '20 as the Soaring Eagles continued to apply pressure. Keuka opened the scoring at 31:36, but Elmira responded with a strong push late in the half. Drake forced a save at 40:33 before Reuter followed with another shot on target at 41:49. Just 10 seconds later, Ferrier found the back of the net at 41:59 to pull the Soaring Eagles even heading into the half.
Elmira continued to generate opportunities after the break, with Drake recording another shot in the 59th minute. Cantrell came up with an important save at 63:03 to keep the match tied before Wilcox put the Soaring Eagles ahead moments later. Wilcox recorded a shot on goal at 64:06, but quickly found the back of the net at 65:43 off an assist from Chunco to give EC a 2-1 advantage. The Soaring Eagles continued to pressure late, earning a pair of corner kicks in the final 10 minutes. The Elmira defense held strong over the final minutes to secure the conference victory, 2-1.

The Soaring Eagles return to action on Wednesday, September 23, when they travel to Lycoming College for a non-conference matchup. Kickoff is slated for 4:00 p.m.
