Chris Weathers

Chris Weathers enters his second season as the assistant women’s volleyball coach at Elmira College in the 2017-18 academic year.

Weathers comes to Elmira after spending three months as a residence director and assistant women’s volleyball coach at the University of the Southwest, located in Hobbs, New Mexico. As the assistant coach for the Mustangs, he trained the defensive specialists and assisted with the team’s serving.

Prior to his stint at the University of the Southwest, Weathers was an assistant coach at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kanas, for two seasons. He coached four Kansas Collegiate Athletic All-Conference honorees and helped his team qualified for the 2015 KCAC Tournament.

In 2013, Weathers graduated from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. He was a volunteer team manager for the Pirates women’s volleyball team during his four seasons. He assisted the coaching staff with video coordination, organization of practice, and statistics. Weathers also played for the men’s club team at Seton Hill as a libero.

Originally from Brockton, Massachusetts, Weathers graduated from Seton Hall with a degree in Social and Behavoiral Sciencess and a minor in Sociolgy. He received a Master’s in Business Administration from Southwestern College in May of 2016, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Corporate and Community Education at EC.
