The performance by Cameron Prior '17 in goal for the Elmira College men's lacrosse team in Saturday's season-opener against Keuka College allowed him to take home his second career EC Athlete of the Week award.
In his sixth career start, the Malden, MA, native made 21 saves and collected three ground balls. Eleven of his stops came in the second quarter alone, as the junior netminder limited the Wolfpack to a single goal in the second period.
The double-digit save performance was the fourth of Prior's career, as he held a Keuka team that scored 22 goals in its season-opener against Alfred State to only 13 on Saturday.
Prior and the EC men's lacrosse team will begin a season-long four-game homestand on Saturday, March 12th, at 1:00 p.m. against the visiting Dutchmen of Lebanon Valley College.
