On Saturday, the EC field hockey team honored Mae Dinh '19, alongside classmates Matilda Kennedy-Butler '19 and Diane LeRoy'19, as part of Class of 2019 Recognition Day. The senior midfielder then went on to score a single-game career-high two goals to lead the Soaring Eagles to a 3-2 non-conference victory over Morrisville State. She deposited Elmira's first goal in the 13th minute and the eventual game-winner in the 37th minute.

A Clinton, New York, native, Dinh has scored four goals in the past four games, including two game-winning tallies. As a result, she has helped the Purple and Gold go 4-1 in their last five games; it's the first time since the 2003 campaign that Elmira has won four times in a five-game span. EC is 3-0 in games that Dinh has scored a goal and 4-0 when she has at least one point so far in 2018.

Dinh and the Soaring Eagles will conclude non-conference action on Tuesday, October 16, when the EC women host Keuka College at the Murray Athletic Center at 3:30 p.m.
