Pine Valley, NY – The EC Women's Tennis team suffered another tough loss as it fell to Ithaca College 9-0 at the Murray Athletic Center Wednesday evening. The win improves the Bombers to 2-0 overall and in conference, while the loss drops the Soaring Eagles to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in Empire 8 play.

The Bombers got off to a very strong start taking all three doubles points. Melanie Walker '13 and Amy Schmidt '15 played extremely well for EC at the first doubles position, but the duo could not keep the momentum going falling late 8-3. In singles the Soaring Eagles still struggled to get on the board even with a tremendous team effort. Walker provided some energy for EC in the beginning; however, she would not be able to continue her energy late losing in straight sets.   

The Soaring Eagles will return to action Saturday, September 8^th when they travel to Oneonta, NY to take on Hartwick College at 1:00 p.m.
