Saratoga Springs, NY -- The Elmira College men's ice hockey team (5-5-0, 4-2 ECAC West) fell to Buffalo State College (4-2-2, 3-2-2 SUNYAC) 3-0 today. Sal Magliocco '17 made 29 saves in the today's loss.

Both teams were unable to find the back of the net until Buffalo found themselves on a power play and slipped one past Magliocoo 7:40 into the second period. The Bengals would increase their lead to 2-0 after another man-up opportunity five minutes later.

Buffalo put the final goal of the game on the board five minutes left in the third period. The Soaring Eagles went 0-2 on the power play tonight while the Bengals went 2-7.  Despite the loss, Elmira outshot Buffalo 34-32 tonight.

The Purple and Gold will look to bounce back tomorrow where they will play against Fitchburg State in the consolation round of the Skidmore Invitational. The puck is set to drop at 1:00 p.m.
