Hoboken, NJ -- The Elmira College women's volleyball team dropped a pair of non-conference matches this afternoon at the New York State Regional Challenge. Elmira fell in the opening match to the Rochester Institute of Technology before dropping the nightcap to Clarkson University.

Elmira College 0, RIT 3 -- 25-12, 25-20, 25-15Elmira dropped their opening match to the Tigers of RIT in three sets. Elmira's offense had troubles putting balls away as EC totaled just 22 kills as a team.
Sami Hanes '16 logged 20 assists in the loss while
Paola Ortiz '16 made 13 digs, the first time she has posted double-digit digs since Elmira's September 16th matchup with Ithaca College.

Elmira College 0, Clarkson University 3 -- 25-12, 25-16, 25-8EC's struggles continued in the nightcap as the Golden Knights bested the Soaring Eagles in straight sets.
Ashley Heiman '16 led Elmira's offense with eight kills while Hanes posted 16 assists. Defensively,
Kierstin Derr '16 led the Soaring Eagles with 10 digs.
The Elmira women will look to bounce back tomorrow when the Soaring Eagles conclude play at the New York State Regional Challenge. EC's first match of the day will be against Kean University at noon before concluding the 2014 season at 4:00 p.m. against the University of Rochester.
