Ithaca, NY -- The Elmira College men's tennis team opened the fall portion of their 2014-15 season at the Ithaca Invitational Saturday afternoon. The first day of the two-day individual tournament featured two singles matches and one doubles match for each of the participants.
 
None of the seven Elmira players in the invitational recorded a win on the afternoon, however, each player's level of play progressed with each match. That is a welcoming sign given the fact that the men have only been practicing for two days after arriving to campus last weekend.
 
The men will resume play tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m. Sunday's lineup features one singles match and two doubles matches for each player. Full tournament results will be released after the conclusion of all the day's matches.
