Men's Volleyball Tripped Up by SUNY Poly and No. 7 Wells

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 AURORA, N.Y. -- The Elmira College men's volleyball team took on a pair of tough opponents on Sunday afternoon but was unable to walk away with a victory, as the Soaring Eagles fell to SUNY Poly and No. 7-ranked Wells, to bring their record to 3-8 overall.

The Soaring Eagles battled Wells close in the opening set behind a .333 attack percentage. The back-and-forth opening frame went the other way, however, as the Express stole a 27-25 victory. EC was unable to recover from the momentum draining opener, as Wells claimed the second set, 25-22, and the final stanza, 25-16.

Anderson led the Purple and Gold's offense with 12 kills and a stellar .450 attack percentage. Jackson floored eight kills, while Straney and Milligan chipped in with five kills apiece. Coleman and Powless split time at the setter spot, as the former registered 16 assists and the latter added 15.
