ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Elmira College Men's Soccer team found themselves on the wrong end of a 1-0 decision to the Golden Flyer from Nazareth on Saturday afternoon. For the 9
th time in 14 games this season, EC battled to a one-goal decision but it was Nazareth who came out on top after an 87
th minute goal from Sam Smyth.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The teams battled through a 0-0 game until the 87
th minute when Sam Smyth found the back of the net on an assist from Drew Decker to secure victory for the Golden Flyers. After Decker took a shot at Elmira goalkeeper
Giovanni Garufi '22 from the left side, a deflected save went right to the foot of Smyth who was in the right place at the right time.
In total, the Golden Flyers outshot Elmira 17-9, including a 9-5 advantage in shots on goal.
