ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Elmira College Men's Soccer team found themselves on the wrong end of a 1-0 decision to the Golden Flyer from Nazareth on Saturday afternoon. For the 9^th time in 14 games this season, EC battled to a one-goal decision but it was Nazareth who came out on top after an 87^th minute goal from Sam Smyth.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The teams battled through a 0-0 game until the 87^th minute when Sam Smyth found the back of the net on an assist from Drew Decker to secure victory for the Golden Flyers. After Decker took a shot at Elmira goalkeeper Giovanni Garufi '22 from the left side, a deflected save went right to the foot of Smyth who was in the right place at the right time.
 
In total, the Golden Flyers outshot Elmira 17-9, including a 9-5 advantage in shots on goal.
