SCHENECTADY, NY. – Elmira men's soccer fell by a final of 5-0 in their match at Union on Tuesday evening. EC registered six shots in the game with two on target.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Elmira conceded its first in the 13th minute off a Union throw taken on the right touchline. Elmira could not clear the ball initially, allowing it to bounce, and Union buried the shot into the net.
- The next goal came in the 37th minute on a shot saved by goalkeeper Juan Carlos Cruz Gandia '27, which rebounded into the path of an onrushing Union attacker who slotted it home.
- Both teams would not score again in the half, and Elmira entered the break facing a two-goal deficit.
- The Soaring Eagles conceded their third 10 minutes into the second half on a misplayed pass at the edge of their penalty area. The ball was intercepted by a Union player who found the back of the net.
- The fourth goal came on the counter-attack when Union played the ball long. The Garnet Charger attacker was able to dribble into the box and slot home another for the hosts.
- Elmira would concede another in the 82nd minute, once more on the counter, bringing the score to 5-0.
- Elmira recorded six shots to Union's 19, with two forcing saves from the goalkeeper. Pietro Gallina '26 and Matt Crichton '27 had Elmira's two shots on goal.
- Goalkeeper Cruz Gandia played the first 45 minutes for the Soaring Eagles and saved three shots. Asher Ellis '25 replaced him for the second half, saving two.
