ELMIRA, NY. – Elmira men's soccer picked up another conference win on Saturday afternoon in a 2-1 win over Houghton. Martin Harguindey '26 and Jose Navea Corporan '27 were the goalscorers for the Soaring Eagles.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Elmira got its first chance of the game on a Houghton handball in the penalty area. Harguindey stepped to the penalty spot and slotted the ball into the top left corner after sending the goalkeeper the wrong way, giving EC the 1-0 lead with his eighth goal of the season.
- That was all the scoring in the first half, and Elmira took a 1-0 lead into the break.
- The scoring continued early in the second half for the Soaring Eagles when Corporan produced a stellar goal, finding the bottom-right corner of the goal on a long-range effort and bringing the lead to two.
- Houghton would get one back late in the game on another long-range effort, giving it a goal with 11 seconds left in the game.
- Despite being out-shot 8-4 in the game with two shots on goal, Elmira picked up the 2-1 win, making each of its efforts on target count.
