ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Elmira College women's basketball team began its home tip-off tournament on Saturday with a dominant 69-point victory over the visiting Broncos from SUNY Delhi. With the victory, the Soaring Eagles will take on Curry College in the Championship game tomorrow at 2:00 PM, while Penn Tech and Delhi square off at noon in the consolation game.
For the Soaring Eagles, all 13 of its players were able to break into the scoring column, while D'Asia Jones '25 (11), Nevaeh Winston '25 (10), and Kelsey Stewart '26 (10) led the Soaring Eagles in scoring

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Soaring Eagles would use a 22-3 advantage in the opening frame before outscoring the Broncos 19-4 in the second. Carrying a 41-7 lead into the break, the Soaring Eagles held Delhi to just 2-of-19 for the frame, while forcing 17 turnovers.
- The Broncos would score seven points in the third quarter, but the Soaring Eagles would outscore the opposition by putting up 23 of its own.
- After a 21-2 advantage in the fourth, Elmira would secure the victory and its spot in the championship game of the Elmira Tipoff Tournament against Curry tomorrow at 2:00 PM.
- For the contest, the Soaring Eagles would hold the Broncos to just 6-of-47 shooting from the floor (12.8%), which included 0-of-26 shooting from beyond the arc. For Elmira, the Soaring Eagles would eclipse 50.0% from the floor, after finishing the evening 36-of-69.
- The Soaring Eagles would dominate in second-chance points, outscoring the Broncos 28-0, while using 58 points from its bench, along with a 20-3 advantage in fastbreak points.
