Cardello's Double-Double Powers Purple & Gold Past Fredonia

ELMIRA, NY – In the first of their back-to-back games before the Thanksgiving holiday, the Elmira College Soaring Eagles defeated the Fredonia State Blue Devils, 85-70 on Pat Thompson '75 Court inside Speidel Gymnasium on Monday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Wire-to-wire control for the Soaring Eagles led them to their third win of the season, and are unbeaten at home, having won both games inside Speidel Gymnasium.

Tyler Cardello '26 registered a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds in 23 minutes of action. JJ Babcock '26 fell one rebound shy of a double-double, but came away with two steals.

46.2% shooting from the field and 40% from beyond the arc fueled a 45-point second half for the Soaring Eagles en route to victory. In addition to their success from the field, the Soaring Eagles also made 17 of 22 free throw attempts in the second half, and finished with a 77.3% clip from the charity stripe.
