ELMIRA, NY – In their final game before the mini Thanksgiving break, the Elmira College Soaring Eagles downed the Alfred State Pioneers, 84-65. Tyler Cardello '26 and Chris Woodard '28 had 23 points and 20 points, respectively for the Soaring Eagles in the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
A well-balanced offensive attack, highlighted by Cardello and Woodard, featured a double-digit effort from Ty Barrett, who notched 10 points, a season-high for the junior.
Elmira was strong on the glass as well, pulling down 47 rebounds, with Jack O'Grady '26 leading the way with eight. Cardello pulled down seven and JJ Babcock '26 rounded out the top three with six boards.
Babcock and Kelton Brown '28 led the team with four assists each. Brown's highlight-reel block late in the first half gave the Soaring Eagles momentum heading into the halftime break up 40-36. Brown also came away with four steals in his stellar defensive effort.

Coming out of the break, the Soaring Eagles will participate in the Ed Hockenbury Classic, hosted by Norwich University on December 7-8. The Purple & Gold will draw the hosts on Saturday night at 7:00 PM to open the tournament.
