ELMIRA, NY – The Elmira College Soaring Eagles crossed state lines on Saturday night to take on the Norwich Cadets in the Ed Hockenbury Classic. EC dropped the game 88-71.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Owen Liss and Jalen Olivero each finished with over 20 points for the Cadets, with Liss posting a game-high 32 on 14 of 21 shooting.
The Soaring Eagles were led by Tyler Cardello '26 (21) and Ty Barrett '27 (15) in scoring. JJ Babcock '26 paced the Soaring Eagles on the boards, pulling down seven rebounds.
The Cadets shot a red-hot 53.6% from the field, including 40.9% from behind the arc. EC didn't have the same success from the field, shooting 38.5% and just under 37% from distance.
After going into the locker room down 39-28, the Soaring Eagles put up a good fight in the second half before ultimately falling.

The Soaring Eagles will return to the court on Sunday, Dec. 8 to close out their 2024 calendar schedule against the Bryant & Stratton College Bobcats from Albany. Opening tipoff will arrive at 1:00 PM.
