ELMIRA, NY – The Elmira College Soaring Eagles closed out their 2024 calendar schedule on Sunday afternoon with a 76-68 loss to the Bryant & Stratton Bobcats of Albany.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Kelton Brown '28 led the Soaring Eagles with 13 points, while JJ Babcock '26 and Tyler Cardello '26 also finished in double figures with 10 points each.

Babcock's eight rebounds paced the Soaring Eagles on the glass. Brown came away with six boards of his own and Riley Spencer '25, Chris Woodard '28, and Cardello each collected five rebounds.

Brown and Daemon Thomas '28 finished with four assists, tying for the team lead.

The Bobcats shot just under 42% from the field in the contest, compared to just 36% for the Soaring Eagles. Bryant & Stratton got into a rhythm shooting the ball in the second half, hitting nearly half of their shots, en route to its second win of the season. The Soaring Eagles shot the ball well in the first half (40%) before falling off in the second half.

The Soaring Eagles will enjoy the holiday break before returning to action on Tuesday, Jan. 7, at home against the Hawks of Hartwick College. Opening tipoff is slated for 7:30 PM from Speidel Gymnasium.
