NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Hunter College Hawks outscored the Elmira College women's basketball program 26-22 in the second half as the Soaring Eagles dropped a 63-58 decision on the road to close the 2024 calendar year.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Laura Bogota '25 paced the Soaring Eagles in the contest with 16 points and connected on two of Elmira's three 3-pointers. Nevaeh Winston '25 and Amarionah Dixon '26 each finished with 10 points for the Purple & Gold.
- Taylor Jung '25 and D'Asia Jones '25 both tallied six points and 10 rebounds for the Soaring Eagles.
- Leading Hunter College was Alexa Charles, who went 14-of-20 from the field and finished with 30 points for the Hawks. Erin Cosio added 11 points and went 3-of-6 from 3-point range for Hunter.
- Elmira finished the contest with a 54-32 rebound advantage, including a 19-8 margin in offensive boards. The Hawks tallied 16 steals and recorded 20 points off Elmira turnovers in the contest, while the Soaring Eagles tallied 11 points off turnovers.
- Elmira's largest lead of the afternoon was 10 points as the Soaring Eagles jumped out to an early 11-1 advantage with 6:40 left in the first quarter. Elmira held a 45-44 lead with 3:38 left in the third quarter before the Hawks would take over and gain the lead until the final buzzer.
