ELMIRA, NY – The Elmira College Soaring Eagles returned home on Friday night to start at back to back against SUNY Brockport and SUNY Geneseo. Friday night's contest with the Golden Eagles resulted in a 94-87 loss for EC.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Riley Spencer '25 and
Tyler Cardello '26 each finished with 20 points on the nose for the Soaring Eagles.
JJ Babcock '26 (13),
Kelton Brown '28 (12), and
Chris Woodard '28 (12) also finished in double figures scoring for the Purple & Gold.
Owen Evans '26 dished out a team-high four assists, good for a new season high. His eight points also was a high mark of the season.
Cardello led the team on the glass with nine boards. Babcock (7) and Brown (6) also contributed to EC holding a 37-36 advantage on the glass.
The Soaring Eagles broke out of their shooting slump, shooting 51.6% (33-64) in the game, but still struggled from beyond the arc, hitting at a 29.2% (7-24) clip.
Jakob Oka paced Brockport with 18 points. He and Zachary Rice came down with five rebounds, leading the Golden Eagles.
