KEUKA PARK, N.Y. –  The Elmira College Men's Soccer team jumped out to an early lead in the 22nd minute of play against the Wolves of Keuka College as Jhoan Chavez '26 scored into the lower right portion of the net on an assist from Ole Esselmann '28. From there, the Purple & Gold wouldn't look back, extending its lead to 3-0 before the halftime break in order to earn an Empire 8 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Elmira wasted little time asserting control, finding the back of the net three times in the opening 35 minutes. Chavez opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, finishing off a setup from Esselmann to give the Purple & Gold an early 1-0 advantage. Just four minutes later, Pietro Gallina '26 doubled the lead after connecting with Olivier Rusch '26, who earned the assist.
• The first-half surge continued as Adam Tufton '28 buried Elmira's third goal in the 36th minute, sending the visitors into halftime with a comfortable 3-0 cushion.
• To open the second half, it wouldn't take long for Elmira to extend its lead to 4-0, as Aadne Aarstad '28 found the back of the net with a shot to the lower righthand side of the goal, unassisted. 
• The Soaring Eagles dominated statistically, outshooting Keuka 22-6 and holding a 6-3 edge in corner kicks. Goalkeeper Arturo Ruiz Martin '28 recorded three saves to earn a clean sheet, while Keuka's Logan Karn finished with five stops.
