BRADFORD, Pa. – The Elmira College men's wrestling team opened the 2025-26 season with a quad match that was hosted by Pitt-Bradford. The Soaring Eagles fell just short to Pitt-Bradford, Utica, and Jamestown.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Donovan Smith '28 (174) and Rhojan Monfort '29 (185) were the lone contributors in the first match against Pitt-Bradford. Both recorded falls in their matches, tallying six points. Elmira missed the mark 39-12 to Pitt-Bradford.
- Kaiden Ellis '28 (149) notched a 10-8 decision against his opponent to tally three points for the Soaring Eagles. Smith (174) and Monfort (185) both recorded their second fall of the day against their opponents, along with John Robyck '27 (285) but still fell short to Utica 38-15.
- Devin Strother '29 (133) opened up their third match with a fall followed by Smith (174), his third fall of the day. A forfeit for Monfort in the 185-class brought Elmira within four (18-14) but dropped the match to Jamestown 23-18.
UP NEXT: The Soaring Eagles remain on the road and head to Ithaca, NY for the Ithaca Invitational on Friday, November 7. Match times are set for 2:30 PM and 9:30 PM.
