COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Elmira College men's basketball team concluded the Bear Bash Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday afternoon. The Soaring Eagles were paired up with Misericordia where a late run in the second half left them just short of the mark, 81-70.

- Elmira opened the game with confidence, moving the ball efficiently as Kelton Brown '28 sparked the offense with a pair of early buckets and assists to put EC ahead in the opening minutes.
- Misericordia responded behind standout forward Matt Prociak, who scored 30 points on 14-of-17 shooting from the free-throw line to help the Cougars build a first-half cushion.
- The Soaring Eagles entered the half trailing 40-29, an 11 point deficit. Elmira came out at the start of the second half aggressive in the paint, highlighted by a steal for Tyler Cardello '26 and fast-break layup from Brown to cut Misericordia's lead to eight.
- Elmira won the battle in the paint, but Misericordia's 23 points off fast breaks proved to be the difference.
- Elmira shot 37.9% from the floor and 77.8% from the line, staying efficient but were unable to overcome the Cougars' 30 bench points.
- Brown carried the Soaring Eagles offense with 17 points and five rebounds followed by Cardello with 13 points and four steals.
