COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Elmira College men's basketball team opened the 2025-26 season at Ursinus College in the Bear Bash Tip-Off Tournament. The Soaring Eagles battled until the end but dropped the contest 84-65 to the Bears.

- Elmira was hot out of the gates with defensive energy and early three-point shooting to grab a narrow lead through the opening half. Kelton Brown '28 powered the attack with 24 points, six rebounds, four steals, and two assists in the contest.
- Emmanuel Karkari-Mensah tabbed nine points, including a three-point shot that capped Elmira's early 14-11 run midway through the first period.
- At halftime, the Soaring Eagles were trailing 40-38 in a back-and-forth match. Jude Wilkins and Alec Mercer each drained three-pointers to keep the contest close.
- In the second half of play, the Bears outscored Elmire 44-27 to run away with the contest.
- Chris Woodard tallied nine points and six boards while AJ Graham contributed four rebounds and strong defensive efforts. The Soaring Eagles' bench accounted for 39 of their 65 points.
UP NEXT: The Soaring Eagles close out the Bear Bash Tip-Off Tournament with a game against Misericordia tomorrow November 8. Tip-off is set for 1:00 PM.
