ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Elmira College men's wrestling team hosted the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford inside the Speidel Gymnasium for Senior Night as they honored Nick Lopez. The Soaring Eagles put up a hard fight but fell just short of the mark 35-18.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Soaring Eagles opened with John Robyck in the 285-weight class, pinning his opponent at 1:07 to give EC a 6-0 lead.
- Trailing by 17, Kaiden Ellis marked a 4-1 decision against his opponent to cut the deficit to 23-9.
- Donavan Smith notched the fall in the final seconds of the first period (0:19.6) to cut the Panthers lead, 23-15.
- Rounding it out for the Soaring Eagles, Rhojan Monfort notched an 11-6 decision to close the match. Ultimately, Elmira dropped the match 35-18.
UP NEXT: The Soaring Eagles will travel to Elizabethtown, PA on Saturday, December 6 for the Blue Jay Classic. Matches will begin at 9:30 a.m.
