MANAHAWKIN, NJ – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association recently revealed its list of honorees for the 2024 Division III Scholars of Distinction and National Academic Squad, with
Ashlee Donahue '28 and
Jazmine Elliott '25 being named Scholars of Distinction for the Elmira College Field Hockey program.
Elliott's second Scholars of Distinction honor follows her garnering the award last season, while Donahue recently finished her first season as a member of the Soaring Eagles. Elliott and Donahue were joined on the National Academic Squad by teammates
Talia Nash '28,
Neha Wajahat '25, and
Jessica Yesensky '26. Elliot, Wajahat, and Yesensky earned National Academic Squad honors following the 2023 season for Elmira.
Sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, the NFHCA National Academic Squad program honors undergraduate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through the fall semester, nominated by their NFHCA member coaches.
The NFHCA proudly recognizes over 1880 outstanding undergraduate student-athletes from over 150 institutions on the 2024 Division III National Academic Squad. Mount Holyoke College led with 25 selections, while Haverford College and Middlebury College each landed 24 student-athletes on the list.
The NFHCA proudly honors more than 550 outstanding undergraduate student-athletes from more than 135 institutions who have achieved recognition as 2024 Division III Scholars of Distinction. This program acknowledges exceptional undergraduate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or higher through the fall semester, nominated by their NFHCA member coaches.
Middlebury College and Shenandoah University paced Division III, with both institutions landing 12 student-athletes on the list.
