ELMIRA, NY – The Elmira College Soaring Eagles split their home and home series with the Penn College Wildcats following Wednesday's 10-6 loss at Bowman Field in Williamsport, PA.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Penn College took a 1-0 in the bottom of the first before Elmira responded with four in the top of the second. It began with a Sean Deaner '26 RBI single. An AJ Ramirez '27 bunt plated another run, making it 2-1 before Deaner would score Elmira's third run on a wild pitch. Finally, Kaden Bolt '26 doubled to right field, plating Gabe Fellows '26.
The Wildcats rallied to tie the game after getting two in the bottom of the second and another in the third.
Brady Buttice '26 scored on a passed ball in the fourth inning, putting Elmira back ahead by a run. A Connor Stone '26 RBI single brought home Brett Warden '25 and giving the Soaring Eagles a 6-4 lead through five innings.
Things would unravel for EC in the eighth as the Wildcats scored six runs in the bottom of the frame to go up on top 10-6.
Canfield was hit with the loss for the Purple & Gold while Parker White got the win for Penn College.
