Elmira College Men's Ice Hockey Releases 2025-26 Schedule on Thursday

ELMIRA, N.Y. – As the Soaring Eagles return to the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC), Elmira College Men's Ice Hockey head coach Aaron Saul '98 has announced the schedule for the 2025-26 season. The Soaring Eagles will play 13 home games this season at the Murray Athletic Center. 

Elmira begins its season with a home-and-home series against the three-time defending NCAA Division III national champion, Hobart College, on Friday, October 31, at 7:00 p.m. The Soaring Eagles then travel to Geneva to face the Statesmen on November 1. Elmira leads the all-time series against Hobart with a 61-37-3 record.

The Soaring Eagles host the SUNY Potsdam Bears for a non-conference game on November 7, followed by another non-conference game at home against SUNY Canton on November 8. The game between the Soaring Eagles and Roos will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs. 

Elmira will play its first UCHC game since the 2020-21 season when the Soaring Eagles host the St. John Fisher University Cardinals on November 14. EC then travels to face the Cardinals the following day, on November 15. The Cardinals make their NCAA Division III debut this season after transitioning from the club-level ranks.

The Soaring Eagles resume non-conference play with an away game against Neumann University on November 25. The Purple & Gold return to the Murray Athletic Center for three homestand contests, hosting King's College (Pa.) on November 28 and Wilkes University on November 29. Elmira finishes the 2025 portion of its schedule with a conference game against SUNY Brockport on December 6. 

Elmira begins 2026 with a trip to Oswego for the Oswego State Holiday Classic, as the Soaring Eagles will face former conference rival Babson College on January 2. EC will play either Williams College or Oswego State on January 3. The consolation game is at 1:00 p.m., followed by the championship game at 4:00 p.m.

The Purple & Gold return to UCHC action with a game at home against SUNY Brockport on January 10. Elmira heads out for three games, including back-to-back contests against new conference member Albertus Magnus on January 16-17. The Soaring Eagles then travel to face SUNY Geneseo on January 23 before hosting the Ice Knights on January 24. 

Consecutive home-and-home series will feature EC facing Nazareth University on January 30-31. The Soaring Eagles will host the Golden Flyers during Athletics Alumni Weekend on January 31 at 4:00 p.m. Elmira then competes against Utica University, with a home game on February 6 followed by an away game on February 7. 

Elmira concludes the regular season with two away games against Chatham University on February 13-14, followed by a pair of home games against Manhattanville University on February 20-21. 

The UCHC Tournament is set to begin on February 25 with first-round games, followed by the semifinals on February 28, and the championship game on Saturday, March 7. Elmira won the UCHC title during the 2020-21 season.
