WILLIAMSPORT, PA. – The Elmira College women's volleyball program rolled to its second 3-0 sweep of the season, as the Soaring Eagles defeated the Wildcats of Penn College on the road behind 16 combined kills from Morgan Sica '28 and Aimee Bridges '29.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Elmira rallied from a 9-6 deficit in the first set with a 5-0 run to take the lead against the Wildcats and later used a 4-0 run to claw back ahead 16-13.
• The Soaring Eagles took the lead for good early in the first set with a 5-0 rally, putting EC ahead of the Wildcats 22-17. Elmira then scored three of the next four points to win the opening set 25-19.
• Leading the second set 10-6, Elmira scored 11 of the next 12 points to take a 21-7 lead against the Wildcats. Penn College ended the run with three straight points before the Soaring Eagles finished the set with a 4-0 run to win 25-10.
• Penn College kept the third set close until the Soaring Eagles went on a 3-0 run to take a 20-14 lead, followed by a 5-0 run to close the set with a 25-15 victory and a 3-0 sweep of the Wildcats. 
• Elmira hit .409 as a team in the third set, recording 12 kills on 22 attempts. Penn College was limited to 16 kills overall for the night.
• The Soaring Eagles also recorded 14 service aces in the match, with Gabriela Rodriguez '26, Alyson Hagberg '26, Katie Witt '28, and Vicki Titus '28 each finishing with three for the Purple & Gold.
• Hagberg finished with 12 assists for Elmira, while Erin Bracken '28 added 11 assists. Gabriella Rustine '26 recorded four kills for the Purple & Gold, and Madalyn Devonshire '29, Lilyanah Doolittle '29, and Bracken each contributed three kills for EC.
