NORTHAMPTON, MA. –
Aimee Bridges '29 notched a match-high 10 kills to help the Elmira College women's volleyball program record its first win of the season on Friday, as the Soaring Eagles swept past the University of Saint Joseph (CT) 3-0 at the Bonnie May Invitational.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Trailing 21-19 in the first set, Elmira went on a 6-0 run to secure a 25-21 victory against the Blue Jays. Aimee Bridges '29 recorded three kills during the run and also posted a block alongside Erin Bracken '28.
- A 7-0 run early in the second set gave the Soaring Eagles an 8-3 lead against Saint Joseph. Leading 20-16, Elmira scored four straight points to stretch the lead to 24-16 as Morgan Sica '28 added two kills.
- Holding a 2-0 lead in the match, the Soaring Eagles took a 15-7 advantage in the third set after a 4-0 run. Elmira later extended their lead to 22-13 before the Blue Jays staged a rally to cut the gap to 22-18.
- Elmira finished the set by winning three of the next five points to secure a 25-20 victory and complete the 3-0 sweep. Bridges clinched the win for the Soaring Eagles with her 10th kill of the night.
- Bridges registered double-digit kills for the second time this season, while Sica contributed nine kills for the Soaring Eagles. Madalyn Devonshire '29 finished the match with a career-high eight kills for EC, and Gabriela Rodriguez '26 scored three of the Soaring Eagles' 10 service aces.
