Fitzgerald went a perfect 4-0 in singles and doubles last week, helping the Soaring Eagles move to 4-1 in Empire 8 play after defeating Houghton College and Hartwick College. She gave up a total of four games in her two singles matches, defeating Houghton's Lisa Jones, 6-0, 6-1, and Hartwick's Caitlin O'Brien, 6-1, 6-2. Fitzgerald was just as strong in doubles, playing with her sister Megan Fitzgerald '18, as the duo picked up 8-0 and 8-2 wins against Houghton and Hartwick, respectively, to stay undefeated in 2014.
 
On top of the perfect record, Fitzgerald reached a career milestone following her 2-0 day against Houghton. With the two wins, the senior earned her 46th and 47th career victories, moving her past Krista Heckler '03 for second place in Elmira College women's tennis history for total wins.
 
Fitzgerald and the women's tennis team look to pick up their fifth Empire 8 Conference win against Alfred University on Tuesday, September 23rd at 4:00 p.m.
