Henderson and the Elmira College men’s basketball team went 1-1 this weekend with their lone win coming on the road in overtime against previously unbeaten Clarkson University. The Golden Knights of Clarkson opened the 2014-15 season with six straight wins, but an 8-for-10 shooting performance from behind the arc by Henderson, who made his first collegiate start that game, handed Clarkson their first loss of the year, 76-68 OT.
The second-year talent knocked down his first seven attempts from three-point range against Clarkson and would finish the game with a career-high 24 points. The following day against St. Lawrence University, Henderson buried three three-pointers for nine points. His 11 made three-pointers this weekend brings his season total to 18, the third most by any player in the Empire 8 Conference.
