Taylor Kaznowski '19 helped Elmira women's volleyball earn wins in three of five matches last week, concluding her weekend as an Oswego State Invitational All-Tournament Team selection. The fourth-year setter dished out double-digit assists in all five matches for a total of 128, while combining for 36 digs, seven aces, and three blocks.
Originally from Hamburg, New York, Kaznowski began her week by logging 10 assists with two kills, one dig and a solo block in EC's straight-set rout of Hilbert on the road on Tuesday, September 11. In the first two matches of the Oswego State Invitational on Friday evening, the senior captain posted a pair of double-doubles. In a 3-0 victory over D'Youville in the tournament opener, Kaznowski handed out 23 assists with 11 digs, followed by 29 assists and 10 digs in a five-set heartbreaker against St. Lawrence. On Saturday, Kaznowski picked up a tournament-high 36 assists in a four-set loss against the host Lakers, before ending the weekend with 29 assists in a straight-set triumph over SUNY Canton.
The Soaring Eagles will return to action tonight at 6:00 p.m. for their 2018 home opener at Speidel Gymnasium against the Panthers of Pitt-Bradford.
