Rumsey paced Elmira to a 2-1 start in conference play this weekend averaging a phenomenal 4.3 kills, 2.3 digs, 0.3 service aces and 0.4 blocks per set, all while hitting a remarkable .286 over 10 sets. The junior pounded out a team-high 16 kills, while hitting an astonishingly accurate .448 and recording nine digs in a sweep of Utica. She was responsible for 18 points in that match, and finished with 12 kills or better in every match on the weekend. Rumsey recorded a double-double with 12 kills and 12 digs in a tight four set loss to Nazareth.

The EC Women’s Volleyball team returns to action Friday when they travel to take part in the Stevens Tournament. Elmira takes on Baruch at 6:00 p.m. followed by an 8:00 p.m. tilt with Stockton.
