Pine Valley, NY -- The Women's Tennis team dropped their final Empire 8 match of the 2010 season against Stevens Tech. The Ducks of Stevens claimed all 9 matches in route to their tenth victory of the year.

Stevens was able to capture the first three doubles matches by the scores of 8-3, 8-1, and 8-3. The singles matches would turn out to be much of the same as Stevens would take all three matches. There were several competitive singles matches on the day. At first singles Alex Putney '12 (Dundee, NY -- Hammondsport) played a tough one, falling 6-2, 6-3. Rebecca Kingman '11 (Hamilton, NJ -- Steinert) played a tight first set before letting the match get away from her; she fell 6-3, 6-0. Bri Palmiero '12 (Rochester, NY -- Bishop Kearney) dropped her match at the fourth spot 6-4, 6-0. Palmiero trailed in the first set 5-0 before running off 4 straight.

The Soaring Eagles Women's Tennis team will conclude their season this Wednesday, October 13th as they travel to take on the Lakers of SUNY Oswego in a non-conference match.
