Hoboken, NJ --EC Men's Tennis traveled to take on E8 competitor Stevens Tech. in Elmira's final match of the 2011 season.  Stevens would sweep the Soaring Eagles, taking all 9 available points.

The Ducks of Stevens took all three doubles matches with the closest match coming at first doubles as Gabe Cortes '11 (Miami, FL -- Miami Country Day School) and Eric Klinedinst '12 (York, PA -- Northeastern) fell 8-3.  In singles play the Ducks would again claim all 6 points.

At first singles Cortes dropped a tight first set at 7-6 (7-5).  He would then go on to lose the second 6-2.  Klinedinst rallied in his match as he went down 4-0 in the first set and took 3 straight but would fall 6-3 in the set.  In the second he would again dig an early hole, trailing 3-0 but would take two in a row to make it 3-2.  These would be his last games of the afternoon as he dropped the second at 6-2.  Elmira finished the 2011 season with a .500 record at 6-6 and 3-5 in Empire 8 play.
